The Middle Years Program aims to prepare students to be successful in school and be active, life-long learners
“We need to educate our children for their future, not our past.”
(Arthur C. Clarke)
The MYP emphasizes intellectual challenge, encouraging students to make connections and blur the lines between school and real-life learning experiences. It fosters the development of skills for communication, intercultural understanding, and global engagement—essential qualities for young people who are becoming global leaders.
MYP students at Madac do not simply settle for facts but go further to pursue the causes for these facts and the implications behind them.
Students at Madac are encouraged to take ownership of their learning by offering autonomy, voice, and choice with regard to their learning. This intellectual engagement is what drives learning forward.
Through the MYP, Madacians develop into socially responsible life-long learners who actively engage in intercultural experiences which both challenge and develop their global competence.
Different perspectives are appreciated and accepted as Madacians work together to obtain shared goals.
